Why we built Community Energy Connect

In 2023, we chatted with community energy groups all over the country to get to the heart of their biggest challenges. One thing that stood out was how tricky it is to recruit and manage volunteers.

That’s where Community Energy Connect came in. While digging into the movement, we also spotted a bigger issue. There wasn’t a clear way for the public to get involved if they couldn’t invest or start their own group. So, Community Energy Connect was created to make it easy for people to lend their skills and be part of a local movement.
