How We Support Community Energy Groups

Selling your energy

We want to purchase as much community energy as we can from community-owned projects across the UK. Thanks to our partnership with Your Co-op Energy, every kilowatt can power homes sustainably through Co-op Energy's Community Power Tariff.

This is one of the most ethical tariffs available. As the UK's only member-owned energy supplier, their values match those of communities nationwide.

Helping to take your group to the next level

We go above and beyond in supporting community energy projects by hosting workshops, speaking at events, offering funding, providing skilled volunteers through our pioneering platform, Community Energy Connect.

We also guarantee to buy the power they generate at a fair market price through our Power Purchase Agreements.

The Powering Communities Fund

At Younity, we understand that securing funding can be competitive, which is why we aim to provide as many grants as possible. We've just announced the winners of our sixth round of the Powering Communities Fund, bringing the total amount of grant funding awarded to £65,000, supporting 21 groups!

We’ve supported a wide range of initiatives, from Creative Energy Clubs hosting art exhibitions to remote communities running essential workshops on computer literacy and clothing repair
