Powering Communities Fund
It’s no secret that community energy groups need more support to develop and amplify their social impact projects. That’s why we've created the Powering Communities Fund — which offers the chance to be awarded up to £3,750!
To be eligible, you must be a community energy group or organisation with a current or upcoming Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with us, or have utilised our Kickstart Loan facility.
Our funding round for 2025 is re-opening for applications on Monday 3rd May 2025, until it re-opens have a look at all the amazing projects we've continued to support.

How it works
This grant funding is possible through our partnership with Your Co-op Energy. We believe businesses and homes should be powered by community-produced energy.
So, for every new customer that switches to their Community Power Tariff, we’ll add £10 to the Powering Communities Fund pot. No questions, no quibbles - we love doing it.
Twice a year, we’ll dip into this pot and provide grants to help community groups develop and deliver their social impact projects.
So far we've had six rounds of funding and given out £65,000, helping to take 21 different projects to the next level.
Don't have a Power Purchase Agreement with us?
To be eligible you must be a community energy group, or organisation, with a current or upcoming Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with us, or have utilised our Kickstart Loan facility. We’ll purchase your energy through a PPA no matter the size of your generation and offer a fair market price.
