Welcome to Younity
Founded by Octopus Energy and The Midcounties Co-operative, we're here to support the community energy movement in every way we can.
We provide award-winning support to over a third of community energy groups across the UK, connecting them to the energy market through bespoke Power Purchase Agreements, skilled volunteers via our pioneering platform, and funding through our Powering Communities Fund and £1.5m Kickstart Loan.
The power of community energy is that it's a renewable energy project owned by local people, making a real difference in the community.
It takes the profits from wind, solar, and hydro energy and uses them to support things like keeping the food bank stocked, helping neighbours stay warm, saving on energy bills, teaching kids about the green transition, and so much more...
